Maybelline Babylips Moisturizing Lipbalm in "Cherry me"

On a daily basis i prefer lip balms to lipsticks.To me Lipsticks are for special occasions and i love the easy going nature of a lip balm:)I keep trying new ones in the hope of finding one that not only looks lovely on the lips but is also moisturizing as well.
Maybelline claims this lip balm not only "moisturizing" but also works for "full 8 hours".

There is much to like about this product.The packaging is cute and girly.The cherry red color is to die for and the lip balm doesn't look half bad on my lips.It has 4.4g or 0.5 oz of product.It reminds me more of the Nivea Labello lip balms.Very similar in texture and feel.

But the product has its shortcomings.It is not very long lasting.No way near 8 hours.At least not on my lips.I would have been ok with it even if my lips remained moisturized after the product faded from my lips, but i feel the need to apply something on my lips with in 40-50 min of application.The color doesn't last too long either.

 

I don't regret buying this lip balm because i really wanted to try it  & its not very expensive.Cost around 2-3 dollars. But i'd rather try another brand than repurchase this one.I got this through a friend but i do believe that this is now available at Maybelline counters in Pakistan.
