Till next time :) <3

"Maybelline Great Lash BIG washable"

I haven't tried any new mascaras in the last year, instead i repurchased my Oriflame one because i have no real issues with it.So when i saw this one in the shop window i thought to myself.... (why not?)  :)

PURPLE SMOKEY EYE

I am a big fan of day time smokey eyes, that look soft and elegant. So here is another one.....

GARNIER SKIN NATURALS WRINKLE LIFT A

Garnier Wrinkle lift A is a day cream that claims to keep your skin moisturized , toned and cleansed as well as keep your premature wrinkles at bay with the help of activated vitamin A.It took me a while to form an opinion about this one.I am rather biased when it comes to Garnier as a brand because the products just don't suit my skin , so i didn't want to write a review based on a rash first impression.

Olay Total effects 7x

This is going to be a short review because (the unthinkable happened) and i fried my keyboard and writing with the "onscreen keyboard" is a total pain ;) I was really excited when i got this product but i didn't want to post a review before i had formed a complete opinion about the whole experience. Those who regularly follow our blog posts know that i am not one to change my skin care regimen too often.I have a solid routine that i like to stick to but i have always felt the need to try a better night cream as the one i was using before left a lot to be desired.so on a random excursion to my local make up counter i decided to give a try to the "Olay Total effects 7x night cream".

My "go to" lipsticks this summer

I am not very adventurous when it comes to lip colors , gravitating more toward pinks and browns and pastels. Its fun to wear a bright and bold "statement" on your lip once in a while but i think for every day colors nudes work with most occasions and outfits. For this summer these are the lipsticks that i have been using the most:

The Revlon one toward the very end is the "bold exception " to the rest of my relatively safe choices.I am thinking of adding a "Fuchsia pink " to the group as well :)Whats your "most reached for color" this summer?
Till next time......

Oue weekly top 10 ;)

This is the first in a series of posts we are going to be doing weekly from now on, just sharing with you a bunch of random stuff that pricked our interest during the last 7 days :) Reviews takes a long time (as every one with a beauty blog knows). You have to test the products, form an opinion, take pics, edit pics, write the review and then FINALLY post it.We are unable to consistently post reviews these days because of exams, assignments and a whole bunch of other nonsense ;) so this way at least we can keep in touch with you guys without too much effort.

MUA Lipstick Shade 5

The one thing i am always apprehensive about buying online (when it comes to cosmetics) is Lipsticks.I cant help my self usually and i always end up buying something but it never turns out to be quite what i expected;)

Summery EOTD

First of, sorry for being invisible on the blog for the last few weeks.Due to a combination of work related stress & exam prep, we've both been incredibly busy. Some thing had to give and unfortunately our blog was the victim in this instance ;)
But we are back now and we bring you this summery, flirty EOTD using (mostly" colors from the Sleek Paraguay palette). You can read the review for the palette [LINK]

MUA Eye shade no. 19 Matte

I LOVE "matte" eyeshades. They are so versatile and totally adaptable. No chunky glitter or unnecessary sheen to deal with. When i decided to buy MUA eyeshades i got one in matte as well , just to test out the formula. I got the one in no.19 because i wanted to get something that will work as a good crease color as well.

MUA eye shade no. 14 Pearl

As you all know , we recently hauled some MUA goodies.I was most excited to try their single eye shadows , as i have read a lot of good reviews on them , from fellow bloggers and my favorite youtube guru as well.
I got two of them , one matte and one pearl. just to see how they are in terms of application , pigmentation and over all quality :)

Becute "stay on" eye liner pencil

Becute is one of the more affordable brands available on local beauty counters here in Karachi. I have tried their nail polishes , liners and lipsticks in the past. For the price , i don't have anything bad to say about the quality of these products.A few months back i randomly picked these two eye liners just to see how they would work....

Tip of the week

How to deal with hard eye/lip pencils:

MUA "love Hearts" Lip balm in "Sweet kiss"

Recently i bought some Makeup academy products from "just4girlz.pk" (online shopping website). I was so excited to get my hands on these products because i have been meaning to try out Makeup Academy goodies since last year , when i first heard of the brand.

Palladio Rice Powder

I think foundations and loose powders are the two things that each one of us is always on the look out for. The search for the next best thing is unending ;) Especially living in hot and humid climates , makes it a necessity to have a good powder to keep the face shine free and your makeup long lasting.

Haul Post :)

Okay so this is all the stuff that i have bought in the last month or so.Not all of it was bought at one place so i'll mention the prices and where i bought the item from under the pictures :)

Kryolan Tv Paint stick (4w)

Kryolan is one of those brands which are widely available in Karachi but don't get enough love on beauty blogs (in my opinion). May be its the perception that its more of a theatrical make up brand (i don't know)
But i love kryolan products. The price is not too bad either.A few months back i was browsing the shelves at "Kryolan city" and randomly bought this stick foundation for my sister (who at the time was looking for a full coverage foundation).

Tip of the week

"Multani mitti (clay) is good for oily skin"

My experience:
When i was a teenager , i had really REALLY oily skin.A problem made worst by the fact , that i had no idea how to take care of my particular skin type. Therefore i became the prime example of how acne can make life miserable :(

E.L.F Lipstick in "Seductive" (Review & swatches)

Happy 23rd March to all :)

On this historic and momentous day more than 100,000 Muslim activists from every nook and corner of the Subcontinent congregated  in the historic city of Lahore and proclaimed to the world their determination to make the Pakistan Resolution for Independence and Muslim Statehood the goal of their struggle under the leadership of the Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah.
So to celebrate , we have come up with this special EOTD :)

Tip of the week

If you have been following this blog for a while then you probably know that i am really into natural skin care.Although i am a huge fan of anything makeup, i don't wear a full face of makeup on a daily basis.I am more into the natural healthy skin look. Therefore i pretty much try any tip or DIY beauty trick that anyone suggests ;)

BH cosmetics Lip liner in "Earth"

This is one of the products i got the last time i shopped at BH cosmetics.I am a satisfied customer of eye shadow palettes from Bh cosmetics but i must admit i have never tried any other product from their site.I was really intrigued by the lip pencils and at the time i was looking for a nude color for everyday use. So i ordered this in the color "Earth". Which is a very soft pinkish brown nude.

NOTD

These the two colors that i have been wearing a lot through February. This beautiful pink shade from Christine (shade no 25) and the classic white polish with black shatter from color studio pro:)

Saeed Ghani's Rose water

The weather is starting to change in our fair city. The increase in temperature hinting to the beginning of summer , in all its hot and humid glory ;) It is very difficult to wear make up when it is so hot out (as even the most sturdiest of cosmetics melt away in the face of sweltering heat). I wear a bare minimum in make up in summers , leaning more towards skin care. One thing i LOVE about my oily combination skin is that if i take good enough care of it during summers, i usually end up with zero breakouts, which is a feat in itself.

St.Ives Skin Renewing body lotion & Giveaway winner announcment!!!

In Karachi we are sort of one dimensional in terms of weather most of the year. Its hot and humid with some breaks for a few rainy days here & there. So when it is the time for the esteemed two , three months of winter (our skin is not really sure of what to do about it). I hate dry , flaky , powdery skin in all circumstances, yet that is exactly what happens as soon as there is even the slightest nip in the air.

Sunday bazar jewellery haul

When it comes to buying artificial/costume jewellery , Sunday bazaar is the place to be in Karachi.Pieces that you would normally pay an arm and a leg for, are available for almost less than half of the original price. Its a shame that i don't visit it as often as i would like because its a treasure trove filled with lovely trinkets. All you need to have is patience, unlimited capacity to bargain(the Pakistani way) and cash (off course). This time around i bought two rings , a whole set with necklace and earrings and a separate pair of earrings.
